Another Day of Practicing Yoga and Meditation

I overslept; hell we all overslept this morning. But I still practiced yoga and felt great that I did! My body is hurting in places I didn’t know it could hurt.

Hurts so good!

And my overall mood is noticeably better, especially the first few hours after a session.

I notice that I’m breathing in and out of my nose more rather than exhaling through my mouth. I feel more in control of my movements, and my body feels like it’s falling in the right places.

Meditation is going great, also. I find myself wanting to stop and do a quick session throughout the day. The learning materials for my certification are so dope. I’m glad I signed up to deepen my own understanding. I doubt I’ll ever teach a class beyond just some friends who want to do it. But it’s really cool to build the practice into my daily life and routine.

I do need to fit in a run this afternoon or something to keep the ‘ell bees’ off the scale. I’m trying to get in the balance of morning meditation and afternoon aerobics, ha!

Hopefully work isn’t too crazy today where I can sneak in a few pages of reading A Court of Mist and Fury, too!
