OMG, can we talk about A Court of Thorns and Roses? I just got into the series recently, and love it so far. I\’m on book 2, A Court of Mist and Fury, and while it gave me some heartbreak in the beginning, I still love it.
I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I started the series.
I didn\’t know it was spicy. I didn\’t know it was this action packed and somewhat suspenseful. I didn\’t know!!
The more I read, the more I\’m excited knowing that there are still 3 more books to go.
It\’s been the best little gem of a surprise in a book that I\’ve had in a while.
But spoiler alert– stop reading here if you\’ve not read book 2!!
I\’m not done with the book yet, but I am butthurt that Tamlin and Feyre aren\’t together right now! I don\’t know if they get back together or not, so don\’t ruin that for me. BUT DAMN!
After all she did to get him back, just for them to not end up together?! Although, I can totally understand the messed up dynamic. Tamlin shouldn\’t have locked her up like that. They both have trauma and were coping in ways that didn\’t compliment each other. They didn\’t acknowledge what each other was going through. Like when they were both having nightmares about Amarantha but not talking about it…red flag.
But the little steamy moments between her and Rhys have me going \”okaaaaaay\” with one hand on my chest, chin tucked like your favorite auntie when you show her something dope!
What I mainly love is the descriptions of the extent of their power.
This is what\’s helping me with the transition from Tam to Rhys. Book 1 had me thinking Tamlin\’s power was unmatched, unlike any other\’s. But now I\’m feeling like Rhys is a little powerhouse of his own! And Rhys has more of a personality it seems, so I guess I\’m over it. I\’ll allow it!
I\’m currently at the part where they just stole the first half of the Book from Tarquin\’s undersea dungeon place, and Feyre just opened it to reveal a language that only Amren knows!
Sidenote: Amren seems like she can just make the entire solar system disappear if she wanted to, anyone else get that feeling?
Anyways, it\’s cool seeing a little bit about her now and her being lost/alone for 10 THOUSAND YEARS. This book really is throwing everything at me!
I can\’t wait to finish and hopefully will do a full review when I\’m done. I just love talking about a good book!!
xoxo
